Happy National Poetry Month!!!

I'm so happy I get to do this review on this month. This book right here is a collection of poetry by one of Virginia's own slam teams, the Verb Benders!

Honestly, when this book came out, I got excited because it finally put one of my friends to print, put some of my favorite spoken word poems to print, and it allowed me to support the team as they traveled to Southern Fried that year.

I am so happy to have this book on my shelf!

Not only is it a collection of hard work from the five members of the team (that year) and their bout manager, but it also feels like a span of generations. This book contains poems from veterans of the team, newcomers, as well as people who may not be new but they're not old either. (I really don't know what to call that right now.)

This book shows that the 757 has great poetry. It shows that Virginia has great poetry. It shows why Virginia has been putting slam teams into the Top 10 of the national poetry slam scene for years now.

I'm proud to know these people, to call them my friends and inspiration, and to support them in their endeavors with this book.
