This book was long….

But so well worth it!

From the book design to the story within, I loved everything!

“Iron Flame” by Rebecca Yarros is a continuation of the first book in the series, “Fourth Wing.” It picks up right where the first had ended and does not disappoint. As readers, you get to see more character development for Violet and for her main “team.” Not only are there struggles, but the author also balances in some light-heartedness and sarcasm for pallet cleansers. You see the growth and commitment within each character in this book, compared to the first novel.

I think what I enjoyed most about this book are the underlying messages through the story. One that really stuck out to me was the idea of taking that leap of faith. As an individual, someone knows what needs to be done, and sometimes, you just have to do it, no matter what anyone else says. If you don’t trust yourself, then who can you trust?

Another underlying message is the idea of forgiveness. When reading this book, readers will see that the main character, Violet, not only has to forgive others but also herself. Through this, she learns who she can trust and who is the enemy.

I could go on and on about this book. Like with the dragons. Just gotta say this: Andarna is probably my favorite. You’ll see why as you read the book.

Either way, I don’t want to spoil this anymore than I probably have. However, if you have not read this book yet, you need to go get it now. But please, read “Fourth Wing” first. You have to.

Still, you need this series in your collection. It will not disappoint you!
