Family

I've always known that family has been important to me. I've been reflecting on that this month. To be honest, it's been a mixture of feelings, but I'm proud of what I've done this month to celebrate my family.
It was Mama Leigh's birthday this month!
She is my biggest fan, and I'm happy to have her in my corner, especially on the days I just can't do it. We have learned to rely on each other since Granny's passing, and that's what family is all about!
It was also my niece's birthday, and I'd like to call her my second biggest fan.
But family is not just the people you share blood with. Sometimes, it's those friends who always show up for you when you need someone. It could be the people you grew up with but no longer live close to, but you still find ways to get together and catch up. It could even be a pet, if you have any.
No matter who you consider your family to be, find ways to cherish and support them. Find time to reach out to them, check in on them. Let them know that they are not forgotten.
It's those people we can lean on and talk to, who keep showing up, that make all the difference in our lives.
