Open Roads

I love the open road. I love putting my foot to the pedal and seeing what's around me. I love going to new places.
Spring begins this month, and I want to encourage you all to take some time this year to get out.
What does that look like?
Well, for me, that could be a writing getaway or reading retreat in a cabin. I'll also try to plan a trip for hiking or some type of cascades.
But for you, it could be taking a walk outside, going to a new city. Even going to a friend's house works.
It's important to break the monotony in our lives sometimes. We can plant ourselves too much in the routine or the driving for a certain goal that we forget to take some down time. Without these breaks, the fatigue starts settling, we can't think straight, and then start worrying because life doesn't look how we may want it to.
Even computers need a time to update and restart. If we don't give it that time, then it takes it on its own. (My computer does it frequently because I refuse to listen to it.)
Take the time you need to rest and do something for yourself. Your mind and body will thank you in the long run.
