"Two Dollars" Part 1

I know I was not the best poet at Southern Fried last week. I know that there is still more room to grow in my craft. I also know that, in slam, the score can be upsetting.
But Thursday night, I did one of my best performances. The poem had to do with my Granny, who's heavenly birthday is coming up. I laid my heart down on that stage, and the crowd listened. They shut up and listened to me. And after, I just walked out. The score didn't matter at that point.
I was so proud of myself.
So, thank you to those who helped me with this poem: performance-wise, writing-wise, and overall encouragement. Thank you to everyone who sees my hard work and potential. Thank you to all of my friends.
